 Dr. Baron received his Doctor of Medicine from the Georgetown University School of Medicine where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical school honor society. He then completed his orthopedic training at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
He is the founding partner of the Orthopedic Group and has been practicing in the Pittsburgh region for over 25 years. During that time, he has become one of the busiest joint replacement surgeons in the region, and has built an outstanding reputation for his total hip and total knee replacements. He performed one of the first Birmingham Hip Resurfacing procedures in Pennsylvania, and completed training and performs the Oxford Uni-Compartmental Partial Knee surgery as well.
He is the past President of the Medical Staff at Monongahela Valley Hospital, serves on its Executive Board, and is the Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Baron is board certified in orthopedic surgery.
