Dr. Molinero is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon. Caring for patients across the entire spectrum of orthopedics, Dr. Molinero utilizes both nonsurgical and surgical treatments in order to provide exceptional healthcare and improve his patients’ quality of life. His vast experience includes treatment for varied forms of arthritis using joint preservation/replacement surgery, sports or age related injuries and tendon/ligament derangement using open/arthroscopic surgery, nerve disorders, and trauma/fractures. He utilizes PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections in the treatment of some disorders. He is fellowship trained in orthopaedic trauma surgery providing expert care of complex injuries to soft tissues, joints, and bones (fractures) using traditional and minimally invasive/biologic sparing methods of repair.

Dr. Molinero is a proud Pittsburgh native, born and raised in the South Hills. After graduating from Seton La Salle Catholic High School, he received his bachelor’s degree from Gannon University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. He completed his residency training at Millcreek Hospital where he was Chief Resident, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, and Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA as well as Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He completed his fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He also trained in a Limb Reconstruction and Computer Assisted Fellowship in Melbourne, Australia prior to entering medical practice. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has been in practice for over 10 years.

Dr. Molinero has been an instructor at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine. He is currently a faculty member of the AO North American Musculoskeletal Trauma Foundation. He is an active member in the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and American Osteopathic Association. When he is not practicing Orthopedics, Dr. Molinero enjoys spending time with his wife and their four daughters.
